Air Pass destinations

Considering that Brazil is slightly larger than the Continental United States, there's a lot of territory to cover in just 21 days. Try not to see too many places in Brazil at once, not just because it is not possible but keeping your travel limited to two to four areas is the ideal way to make the most out of your vacation in Brazil. You want to spend your precious time enjoying the culture, the people and the beautiful scenery instead of spending hours getting from one place to another.

Something else to consider while visiting Brazil: Perhaps your are visiting Sao Paulo for business and want to take advantage of the opportunity to visit one more place on the weekend, let's say Rio or Iguassu Falls. The Air pass may not be your best bet. Sometimes it will be cheaper to buy a separate ticket or even include this side trip on your international air fare. The same applies if you are going to visit only two different places, per example Rio and Salvador. More likely it will cost you less money to buy a round trip to Salvador with a stop over in Rio on the way in or on the way back.

Since each traveller has different needs it's best if you allow one of our experienced travel agents to find the best way to accomplish all you want to do and save you as much money as possible.

Lencois National Park in Maranhao State

The advantage of purchasing an Air Pass is that you can visit the most remote areas in Brazil such as Santarem in Para, Porto Velho in Rondonia, Sao Luiz in Maranhao for the same price of visiting Porto Alegre down on the south. Since a leg is a leg, it does not matter where you want to go.

The most visited places in Brazil

In the list of the most visted places in Brazil you will find the following destinations: Rio de Janeiro, Florianopolis, Sao Paulo, Salvador, Iguassu Falls, Balneario Camboriu, Porto Alegre, Recife, Fortaleza and Buzios.

Brazil receives an average of Five million visitors per year. The majority of tourists come from France, Spain, United States, Italy, China and The United Kingdom. More than 50% come to Brazil for a vacation, 34% for business and 16% for other reasons including visiting familiy.

Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina
Pernambuco

A Jewell in this gallery of precious stones called the Brazilian Northeast. Pernambuco has culture, historic heritage and there are those who say: The most beautiful beaches in Brazil.

Recife, the capital city, where all the historic attractions are concentrated, most of them in the downmtown area. One of the best way to get to see most of these attractions is to take a catamaran ride through the Capibaribe River.

Carnival in Recife attracts hundreds of thousands of people every year, where the local ritms can be appreciated such as the Frevo and Maracatu.

Olinda, just north of Recife is also a historical heritage with architecture from the XVI and XVII centuries, narrow streets, filled with ateliers of plastic artists, bars and restaurants giving the city its special charm.

A Little south of Recife the town of Porto de Galinhas await for visitors that enjoy diving and snorkeling. Porto de Galinhas has many natural pools of crystal clear waters filled with lots of fishes. At night, tourists fill the narrow streets, restaurants and bars and enjoy a very relaxed time.

City of Sao Luis, Maranhao

Maranhao

Just a few years ago the State of Maranhao was virtually unknown even to the majority of Brazilians. Thanks to the power of television the world is now able to discover the most remote places on earth. One of these places is The Parque Nacional dos Lencois Maranhenses (Lencois National Park) along with the capital Sao Luis are the main attractions of the state.

The Park is made up of gigantic sand dunes as far as the eyes can see, oasis, secluded beaches and nomad fisherman that have not changed since they first came to the area. This region of Brazil was formed by strong winds, ocean currents and the cycle of rains creating an ecosystem known as the Brazilian Sahara. On the other hand this place is full of life with many fresh water lagoons spread all over the park filled with fishes, the favorite food of many species of birds that inhabited this area.

There are a few that venture the maze created by nature on the park. The inhabitants of this region live in harmony with nature and do not feel the pressure of the urban centers. The closest town and gateway to the park is the city of Barreirinhas located 210 miles from the capital city of Sao Luis.

Besides the most visited places in Brazil, the Air pass allows for visiting the less travelled pathes. Recently, it has been a surge in ecotourism all over the world and Brazil is the perfect place if you like nature, sandy beaches, jungles and other exotic places.
Rio Grande do Norte

The corner of the continent, the area closest to Africa and Europe, where the Sertao (the rough northeast interior) meets the ocean.

Beauty and tranquility are the two words that come to mind when I think of Rio Grande do Norte. Ironically centuries ago, this place was a battleground. First the indians that inhabited the area were very hostile and praticed canibalism, later came the French and try to colonize it, than the Dutch invaded and control the region from 1633 to 1654. It was not until the construction of the Fort of the Three Wise Man (Forte dos Tres Reis Magos) that the Portuguese finnaly gained control over the area.

Natal is the capital of Rio Grande do Norte, is constantly going thru restorations. It's filled with colonial architecture. The beaches are increadibly beautiful with immense sand dunes, falesias (the same type of rock formations found along the coast of Ceara, lots of vegetation typical of the region part of a region protected by the Brazilian goverment. Genipabu, Praia da Pipa , Porto do Mangue with its pink dunes, are places near Natal frequently viseted by people from all over the globe.

There are so many other destinations in Brazil that it would be almost impossible to list and to write about in a web page.

Places such Maragogi in the state of Alagoas, paradise for diving lovers with its rich coral reefs, Marajo island in Para, Paraiba State and Sergipe are just a few of the places worth mentioning.

Brazil is one of the most beautiful and exotic places on earth, modern and at the same time remote, so diverse that every place you visit will feel like a totally different vacation.
